In this session you will learn ways to elevate your literacy instruction with a focus on foundational skills within the balanced literacy framework. You will see how a classroom uses a morning literacy routine to efficiently and effectively teach sight words, phonics, letters, sounds and phonemic awareness using research based, classroom proven best practices. You will stock up on ideas for engaging your students, meeting all their needs and challenging themto reach for higher order thinking.
